EUGENE, Ore. – Rosca is a young dog hoping to spend the holidays with her new family.

Her adoption fee has been reduced to $150 as part of a special Greenhill Humane Society promotion to help homeless dogs find new homes this holiday season.

Rosca is an energetic dog whose exuberance may be too much for young children. She is looking for a family that will take her on walks and adventures, and keep her entertained with puzzle toys. She will also benefit from basic obedience training. She should be the only animal in the home.

Shelter volunteers say she loves to “lean in” for more affection once she gets comfortable with a new person. “Rosca has the sweetest puppy dog eyes – you can’t help but give her all the pets!” a volunteer said. “She enjoys her belly rubs so much!”

Rosca is a mixed-breed dog and weighs about 70 pounds. She is 2 years old and arrived at the shelter as a stray. Her $150 fee will help pay for shelter expenses such as spaying and neutering, vaccinations, permanent microchip identification, a certificate for a free veterinary exam, post-adoption support and more.

Rosca was Tuesday’s Pet of the Week on KEZI 9 News. Every Tuesday, KEZI showcases a homeless pet on the Midday newscast at 11 a.m. and again at 4 p.m.
