Oregon coronavirus cases top 3,000, OHA says

There are 30 new cases in Multnomah County alone.

SALEM, Ore. – There are 75 new confirmed cases of coronavirus in the state, Oregon Health Authority said Friday.

With five new presumptive cases, the state total is 3,068. The count includes nine in Clackamas, nine in Clatsop, one in Deschutes, two in Lane, one in Linn, 13 in Marion, one in Morrow, 30 in Multnomah, two in Polk, three in Umatilla, one in Wasco and eight in Washington.

A presumptive case reported for Benton County has been determined to not be a case.

Three more people have also died, bringing the state death toll to 124. In Marion County, a 51-year-old man and 80-year-old woman died May 6. And a 71-year-old Multnomah County woman died May 5 at Providence Portland Medical Center.

OHA said they all had underlying conditions.
