DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- Oregon State Police have confirmed one man was killed in a crash in Douglas County.
The crash happened at 2:45 p.m. Saturday afternoon on Highway 38 near milepost 25.

Oregon State Police reported an 84-year-old man was travelling toward Elkton, when he veered off the road and struck a garbage can and then a tree.
Witnesses said the truck blew up with flames, and the trees nearby caught fire.
"The flames where he hit the tree, it was just a ball of flames. There was nothing, you couldn't see what it was, in fact they said they couldn't even tell at the time whether it was a car or a pickup," said Cheryl Topping, a Scottsburg resident who heard about the accident from witnesses.
Firefighters and troopers arrived to the scene shortly after and put out the fire, while the truck was wedged between trees.
Oregon State Police said a single vehicle was involved, with only one person within the vehicle.
Neighbors in the area said that Highway 38 has a bad reputation for car accidents.
"We have had some humdingers in the last few years; 38 could be called blood alley or something," said Topping.
Residents in the Scottsburg area said that drivers on Highway 38 need to slow down.
"Just drive careful folks, and stay awake," Topping said.
