One dead after crash near Brownsville

Wreck involves log truck and one other vehicle

BROWNSVILLE, Ore. -- One person has died in a collision on Highway 228, two miles west of Brownsville.

According to Oregon State Police, the wreck involved a log truck and a passenger vehicle. Police would not say if the person who died was in the log truck or the smaller vehicle.

As of 4:15 p.m. on Thursday, all lanes of the highway were closed while troopers investigated.
