DUFUR, Ore. -- The Long Hollow Fire’s containment level is on the rise, and firefighters are working to finish containment lines.
The fire started by farm equipment Thursday, July 26, is now 58 percent contained. The blaze burning near Dufur has destroyed more than 34,000 acres.

Fire officials said only a few areas, like the southeast corner of the fire, are fairly active.
They expect to have the Long Hollow Fire fully contained by Wednesday.
