Lebanon house fire mostly contained to kitchen

LEBANON, Ore. -- Damage from a house fire in Lebanon was mostly contained to the kitchen, Lebanon Fire District officials said.

The district was dispatched to the report of a fire at 1090 S. 7th Street. Upon arrival, firefighters witnessed smoke coming from the eaves and roof vents of the home.

Firefighters made an interior attack on the fire and quickly brought the flames under control.

A search ended in the rescue of two dogs that suffered minor smoke inhalation. Officials said they seemed to be healthy.

Firefighters remained on scene for nearly two hours ensuring there was no fire extension.

The Lebanon district responded with two fire engines, a rescue and two ambulances.
