CORVALLIS, Ore.,-- An Oregon State University student, who was recently arrested for criminal mischief, is hoping to represent the student body.
Andrew Oswalt is running for an elected position for the Associated Students of Oregon State University.
In January, he attracted attention for his inflammatory views in the student newspaper. That same day, he was arrested for criminal mischief after allegedly putting racist bumper stickers on cars.

To be on the ballot, you have to be registered for classes and actively enrolled. Although, some students are upset he is running.
"I'm really really disappointed and shocked, and angry," Jaya Lazo, an OSU student said. "I want to do something about it."
On the Associated Students of Oregon State website, the candidate photo listed for Oswalt is his mugshot from the Benton County Sheriffs Department.
