OSP seeks information after poached deer found along I-5

At this time, police believe the bucks were killed late Friday or Saturday.

MYRTLE CREEK, Ore. -- After multiple poached buck deer were found along Interstate 5 on Sunday, Oregon State Police Fish & Wildlife is asking for the public’s help.

Authorities responded to the area of milepost 112 at the northbound off ramp at the old rest area site north of Myrtle Creek.

Troopers found one skinned whole buck and the hides and heads of two other bucks. One was a three-point buck and two were forked horn bucks.

At this time, police believe the bucks were killed late Friday or Saturday.

OSP’s TIP program offers preference points and cash rewards for information leading to an arrest or the issuance of a citation for the unlawful taking, possession or wasting of big game mammals.
