OHA reports 64 new coronavirus cases, 2 deaths

There are new cases in numerous counties.

SALEM, Ore. – There are 64 new cases of novel coronavirus in the state, Oregon Health Authority said Monday.

Two more people have died, as well.

One of the deaths was a 93-year-old Washington County man who tested positive March 30 and died April 4 at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. OHA said he had underlying health conditions.

The other was a 70-year-old Marion County woman who tested positive April 1 and died the next day at her home. OHA said she also had underlying health conditions.

Among the new cases are two in Benton County, one in Douglas County, two in Lane County, and one in Linn County. The rest are in Clackamas, Columbia, Curry, Deschutes, Jackson, Josephine, Klamath, Marion, Multnomah, Polk, Umatilla and Washington counties.

OHA said a case reported as a Yamhill County case yesterday has since been determined to be a Washington County case.
