OHA reports 409 new coronavirus cases

Officials cited technical issues as an element in the high number of new cases.

PORTLAND, Ore.-- The Oregon Health Authority reported 409 new coronavirus cases Saturday.

The state total of reported coronavirus cases now stands at 11,851. The death toll remained at 232.

Officials cited technical issues as an element in the high number of new cases. They said that the processing of positive cases was prevented for a few hours Thursday as a new reporting system was implemented. Those cases were included in Saturday's count. 

In our area, OHA reported six new cases in Benton County, two cases in Coos County, two cases in Douglas County, 13 cases in Lane County and two in Linn County.
