OHA adds 280 new COVID-19 cases

PORTLAND, Ore. – Oregon Health Authority added 280 new confirmed and presumptive COVID-19 cases on Monday.

This brings the state total to 12,438.

The new cases include 20 in Clackamas, six in Columbia, two in Coos, one in Gilliam, two in Hood River, three in Jackson, one in Klamath, four in Lane, one in Linn, 27 in Malheur, 36 in Marion, nine in Morrow, 82 in Multnomah, two in Polk, 28 in Umatilla, one in Wallowa, 47 in Washington, and eight in Yamhill.

Three more have also died, bringing the death toll to 237.

A 67-year-old Marion County man, 76-year-old Clackamas County man and a 54-year-old Umatilla County man have died. OHA said they all had underlying conditions.

In the daily update, OHA also reported two worksite outbreaks. There are 102 cases at Snake River Correctional Institution in Malheur County and 20 at Shearer’s Foods in Umatilla County. The case counts include household members and close contacts tied to employees.

Testing capacity is estimated to be 41,000 per week, OHA said.
