OHA: 58 new coronavirus cases, four deaths

The Oregon Health Authority reported 58 new coronavirus cases and four deaths Sunday, bringing the state's death toll to 91.

SALEM, Ore.-- The Oregon Health Authority reported 58 new coronavirus cases and four deaths Sunday, bringing the state's death toll to 91.

There are now a total of 2311 coronavirus cases across the state. In our area, one new case was identified in Benton County for a total of 29. Three cases were identified in Linn County for a total of 74.

Three new cases were identified in Coos County for a total of 12. It is unclear if these cases are related to the Shutter Creek Correctional Institution, where Coos Health and Wellness reported Saturday that an employee had tested positive. Eight inmates have also tested positive there. 

Among the deaths reported Sunday were a 51-year-old Wasco County man, a 70-year-old Multnomah County man, a 75-year-old Multnomah County woman and a 93-year-old Marion County man, all of whom had underlying medical conditions.
