COLUMBIA RIVER GORGE, Ore. - After the Eagle Creek Wildfire, parts of the Gorge are back in business.

Businesses who rely on Gorge tourists are happy to be back open. Staff at the Corbett Country Market said their profits were hammered after the Eagle Creek fire.

On Wednesday, the Oregon Department of Transportation reopened the Columbia River highway from past Corbett to Bridal Veil.

The six-mile section had been closed since the first week of September because of the nearby Eagle Creek Fire.

"I'm glad to see there's, at least, not as much visible degradation as I would've expected in this area," said a tourist.

Vista House at Crown Point was not damaged, but it was off-limits for some time.

Oneonta Falls and Bridal Veil have also reopened.
