DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ore. -- The Douglas Public Health Network will be putting on two drive-thru clinics in the coming days.

The first will be on Saturday, Nov. 3, in the parking lot of North Douglas Fire & EMS, 531 South Street in Drain, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Douglas Public Health Network will have another free drive-thru flu shot clinic in Tri-City on Nov. 4.

People attending the clinic won’t have to leave the comfort of their car to get the free flu shot.

According to the Douglas Public Health Network, the flu vaccine reduces the risk of getting the flu by 30 to 60 percent.

They also recommend children younger than six months and older to get the flu shot. Younger children and adults 65 and older are at an increased risk of getting the flu, according to health professionals.

For more information, contact the Douglas Public Health Network at 541-440-3571.
