CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Oregon State University's fall 2020 residence hall move-in process will be a little different this year.
There will be enhanced health and safety measures, including required COVID-19 testing for students living on campus and scheduled move-in dates and times to ensure social distancing.
"All of these changes are designed to foster a safer and healthier environment for our students, staff, and the Corvallis community," said Brian Stroup, director of operations and facilities.
Fall move-in starts on Sept. 18 and runs through Sept. 22. Students will be given a specific time and date and can only bring two other people to help.
A mobile testing lab will be set up at Reser Stadium, where results will be available right there on-site. Students with negative test results will be cleared to move into their rooms.
If a student's test comes back positive, they will need to isolate, either at home or in an isolation space on campus until cleared to move into their room.
Officials anticipate about 2,500 students will be living on campus this fall.
