New cases in Linn, Benton, Coos and Lane counties, OHA says

No new deaths were reported Monday.

SALEM, Ore. – There are 65 new confirmed cases of coronavirus statewide, Oregon Health Authority said Monday.

The new cases bring the state total to 2,759. They include four in Benton, one in Clackamas, one in Clatsop, two in Coos, one in Deschutes, one in Hood River, one in Jefferson, one in Lane, 10 in Linn, 17 in Marion, 15 in Multnomah, eight in Polk, six in Umatilla, 10 in Washington and one in Yamhill.

There are also 14 new presumptive cases. A presumptive case is when someone hasn’t tested positive for coronavirus but is showing symptoms and has had close contact with a confirmed case. Those who test positive will be added to the count of confirmed cases.

No coronavirus-related deaths were reported on Monday.

Among the new local cases is the first case of coronavirus in Coos County not located at the Shutter Creek Correctional Institution. Coos Health & Wellness confirmed the case is a woman over the age of 60. The investigation is ongoing.

Further details about the other local cases are not known at this time.
