"I would've never expected it. She never seemed distressed or unhappy or anything like that," neighbor Emily Javalet said. "She didn't seem like someone on drugs or alcohol."
Another neighbor, who asked to stay anonymous, said the woman was a young mother.
"She was a very sweet young lady. She was pregnant and had a baby a couple months months ago," the neighbor said. "Thinking of someone in the next room deceased, it's a little uncomfortable. I'm sure we will make a memorial for her."
This anonymous neighbor also said that some residents are speculating what happened.
"There's some tenants here who think they know what happened but they don't. My thing is we don't need to spread rumors. We don't need to assume what happened. We just need to know it did happen," the neighbor said.
Neighbors said that some have already left flowers in front of her apartment to show condolences. They said that they plan to hold a candelight vigil in her remembrance.
Police came to the 2500 block of Sheldon Village Loop on April 8th around 6:30 p.m. after a report of a deceased woman. Police said the death didn't appear criminal in nature but the Medical Examiner and Violent Crimes Unit are following up with death investigations.
The woman's identity has not been disclosed at this time to allow time for police to notify family first.
