Need a face mask? Here’s how to make one yourself

There are dozens of ways to make masks at home, even without sewing.

ROSEBURG, Ore. -- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommends that all Americans voluntarily wear face masks in public to help slow the spread of coronavirus.

However, President Donald Trump recommend against wearing surgical or medical masks, as they are needed by health care professionals.

If you need a mask, KEZI 9 News found that there are dozens of ways to make masks at home, even without sewing.

You can make a mask using a T-shirt and scissors. You cut the shirt across the bottom, using the width of a hand to measure, and cut the strip down the middle. Fold the fabric together and cut through the center on the open edge to create four strips you can use to tie the mask to your face. The top two straps should tie around the top of your head and the bottom two around the bottom of your head.
