Motorcyclist dies after Roseburg crash

The other driver allegedly turned against a red light, crossing in front of a motorcyclist.

ROSEBURG, Ore. – A motorcyclist is dead after colliding with a vehicle in Roseburg at about 9:30 p.m. on Friday.

Ryan Gould, 35, of Roseburg was unresponsive after the crash and was taken to Mercy Medical Center, where he later died.

According to the investigation, Adrienne Mathis, 35, of Roseburg allegedly tried to turn west from NE Stephens Street onto NE Garden Valley Boulevard against a red light. The 2019 Toyota Tacoma crossed in front of Gould’s 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, which was headed south on NE Stephens Street, police say.

At this time, there are no indications that impairment played a role, police say. The investigation is ongoing.
