Motorcyclist cited for careless driving after crash

The motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A motorcyclist was cited for careless driving after crashing into a tree on Thursday.

Jason Lynch, 27, was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Springfield police responded to the single-vehicle crash Thursday at 9:11 a.m. in the 3600 block of Franklin Boulevard in the Glenwood area.

Lynch was wearing a helmet. No road closures resulted from the crash.
