OAKRIDGE, Ore. -- More fires are sparking up in the Willamette National Forest near Oakridge, fire officials say.

A Type 2 team arrived Friday to help fight the Middle Fork Complex Fire. It initially started Tuesday night as nine fires caused by lightning, but now officials say a few more have popped up.

As of now, there's no containment percentage or total acreage available, but the Willamette National Forest said the fires range from one acre to ten acres in size.

One is on the McKenzie River Ranger District, and eight are on the Middle Fork Ranger District.

Crews are using helicopters to drop water on the flames, so they are urging everyone to keep drones away from the area because they can interfere with their ability to fly.

The University of Oregon's Early Fire Detection Camera has captured a timelapse of the fire thus far.
