EUGENE, Ore. – A man who tried to get into a woman’s Eugene apartment on multiple occasions was sentenced to a year and a half in prison.
Police said Ricky Maxwell, 30, pleaded guilty to two cases last week.
On four days in March, Maxwell went to a woman’s apartment on Willakenzie Road and attempted to break in while she was sleeping. On one occasion, he left behind a sock he used to cover an exterior light. DNA evidence identified it as Maxwell’s sock.
In the second case, police arrested Maxwell for stalking after he left used condoms and women’s underwear on a different victim’s apartment door, patio and car in the 2900 block of Crescent Avenue.
Police said Maxwell has been arrested in several theft incidents over the past year as well.
