Man formally charged with attempted murder after nail salon attack

A man is facing a list of charges after police said he seriously injured another man at a nail salon.

CORVALLIS, Ore. -- An Oregon man made his first court appearance after police said he assaulted another man at a Corvallis nail salon.

Than Kim was arraigned in Benton County on Thursday, pleading not guilty to all twelve charges.

Court documents show Kim was arrested after police said he tried to kill a man with 'deliberate cruelty" using multiple weapons.

The documents state, Kim used a baseball bat and two knives to assault the victim and pointed a gun at him.

The victim suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.

Kim was formally charged with attempt to commit murder, three counts of assault in the first degree, four counts of unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of pointing a firearm at another, assault in the fourth degree, and reckless endangering another person.
