EUGENE, Ore.--A man is in jail today, accused of murdering two people in a north Eugene mobile home park.
Police say Nicholas Borden-Cortez, 26, was captured around 1 p.m. Friday after a car chase that ended at the intersection of Main Street and Bob Straub Parkway in Springfield. During the chase, police say, Borden-Cortez called 911 and told dispatchers he had a gun.
When he got out of the vehicle, Borden-Cortez allegedly showed a knife and challenged the police to shoot him.
Borden-Cortez is being held on two counts of first degree murder and eluding by vehicle.
The victims, whose names have not been released, were found inside a home at the Falcon Wood Village mobile home park on Green Acres Road.
