Man charged with identity theft, drug possession, forgery in Lebanon

The investigation showed Anthony Ritter, 35, is suspected of criminal activity in several Oregon cities and in other states.

LEBANON, Ore. – A man is facing numerous charges after police said he tried to use stolen credit cards at a Lebanon business.

Police responded to Schmizza Public House at about 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. They said the suspect ran from the scene, and after a short pursuit and struggle, he was taken into custody.

Anthony Ritter, 35, was allegedly found to be in possession of a stolen vehicle, methamphetamine, heroin, stolen identification items and forged documents. The investigation showed Ritter is suspected of criminal activity in several Oregon cities and in other states.

Police said he was charged with aggravated identity theft, unauthorized use of a vehicle, criminal possession of forged instruments, fraudulent use of a credit card, possession of meth and heroin, forgery, possession of a restricted weapon, interfering with a police officer and resisting arrest.

Ritter received a medical assessment before being taken to the Linn County Jail.
