SPRINGFIELD, Ore. – A man was arrested after a high-speed chase that began in Springfield and ended near Harrisburg.
Around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, police said an officer tried to pull 28-year-old Mitchell Larkin over for speeding near Mohawk Boulevard and M street.

Police said Larkin, who was operating a motorcycle at the time, fled toward Marcola at speeds up to 100 miles per hour. They said Larkin continued into Brownsville and through Halsey before his motorcycle developed mechanical issues.
Police said Larkin eventually pulled over near Harrisburg where he was arrested.
He is being held at the Lane County Jail and is facing numerous charges including reckless driving, reckless endangering and elude by vehicle.
Police said Larkin also had an outstanding Benton County warrant for failure to appear on a criminal mischief charge.
