Salem man arrested in Eugene for online sexual corruption of a child

Police said 32-year-old Adrian Fernandez traveled from Salem to Eugene to meet a female teen who was actually an undercover detective.

EUGENE, Ore.--- 32-year-old Adrian Fernandez of Salem is in Lane County Jail for first degree online sexual corruption of a child.

Police said Fernandez initiated contacted with a female teen who was actually an undercover detective.

They said Fernandez arranged to meet the "teen" at a location and traveled from Salem to Eugene. 

At around 7:30 p.m. on August 19, Fernandez showed up and was arrested by detectives.

Police said he was also found to be in possession of a loaded gun and methamphetamine.

Detectives from Eugene Police Department said they will continue to aggressively investigate online predators.
