ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Harvard Avenue in Roseburg closed for nearly two hours after a log truck spilled timber on an I-5 off-ramp on Wednesday afternoon.

Officials said the truck took exit 127 and tried to turn eastbound onto Harvard Avenue.

His trailer came unhitched, spilling the logs.

A witness KEZI spoke with said she noticed something was wrong before the truck made the turn.

“We were at the stoplight. We were watching the logs. We noticed something was flimsy; something wasn’t working right,” Kanya Mehling said. “The truck driver turned when the light turned green, and his rear axle drive line snapped when he turned the corner, and all the logs went all over the place.”

Crews had the mess cleaned up in just under two hours.

No injuries were reported.
