LANE COUNTY, Ore. – Lane County Public Health reported 88 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday as well as five new deaths.
There have been a total of 4,550 confirmed and presumptive cases since the start of the pandemic.
Public Health officials said the death toll has risen to 48.
One of the recent deaths was a 76-year-old woman from the Eugene-Springfield area who died Nov. 27 in the hospital. Another death was a 30-year-old man from the Eugene-Springfield area who died Nov. 30 in the hospital. Details about the other three deaths have yet to be released.
Of the total cases, 45 are in the hospital with 10 in the intensive care unit, 339 are considered infectious and 649 are under monitoring.
