ROSEBURG, Ore. -- Circuit Judge Kathleen Johnson is presiding over the murder case involving Kevin Adams. The Roseburg teen is charged with killing 3 of his family members in November.

December 8th marked 1 month since the murders, and Adams still has not been indicted.

Judge Johnson filed a letter in the case telling both sides to take action to move the case forward.

In part Judge Johnson said, "Given the age of the defendant and the severity of this case, I do not feel it appropriate for the court to just do nothing for an unspecified period while waiting for an indictment to be filed."

The judge also told state prosecutors to let her know whether they'll be proceeding with the case in January. If not, the judge plans to set a hearing to get the case moving.
