EUGENE, Ore. -- If you see a teal-colored pumpkin on Halloween, it's more than a bold decorating choice. It's a signal that the home has allergy-free, non-food treats, like glow sticks or small toys.

This simple act promotes inclusion for trick-or-treaters with food allergies or other conditions. The project is the brain-child of "Food Allergy Research & Education" or "FARE."
