GREEN, Ore. -- Police are asking for the public's help identifying a person of interest they believe is involved in the deadly officer-involved shooting that killed at least one person in Green on Saturday.

KEZI 9 News spoke to the owner of the car, who wanted to remain anonymous. He said he was at the Walmart on West 11th Avenue in Eugene when his car went missing. He said he went inside the store, and when he came out, his car was gone.

"I was terrified, realizing what was in the car, it was very concerning," the man said.

He took to Facebook after he said his Subaru was nabbed last Thursday and said the thieves got away with a lot more than the car. He said "$2,000 in cash, a bank card, my wallet, cell phone and couple other items" were in the car.

When our reporter asked what "other items" he was referring to, he replied, "I'm not going to comment on that."

According to Roseburg police, the car reportedly had multiple weapons, ammunition and a semi-automatic rifle in it.

On Saturday, the Subaru Outback was spotted by Wes Edwards, a Eugene resident who was at the Love's Truck Stop in Green where the chase reportedly started.

Edwards said he and his friends were on their way back to Eugene from Medford when they stopped at the truck stop.

"I saw the picture of the car, and I looked to my right and we were literally parked right next to it."

Edwards said he also took note of the people in the car.

"There were two people in the vehicle, but they had their windows rolled down and they were talking, and I had my window rolled down."

In a state of shock, Edwards said he walked away from the car to call 911.

"I was in shock for a bit and it took me a minute or two of being on the phone with the dispatcher before I asked her, I said 'Is this the stolen vehicle?' and she confirmed that it was," Edwards said. "She also told me that they were possibly armed and dangerous and that I should stay away."

The owner of the car said it was difficult to watch the video circulating online of the shootout.

"The biggest thing I'm happy about is no officers were hurt and it's too bad a guy lost his life, but he made poor choices."

KEZI reached out to the Roseburg Police Department for more information this afternoon, but has not heard back.

Investigators haven't said how many people were in the car when the fire broke out, or released their names.
