ROSEBURG, Ore. -- More than 1,000 people gathered in downtown Roseburg Monday for the Douglas County Annual Veteran’s Day Parade.
The parade started on SE Fowler Street and concluded right in front of the Douglas County Courthouse on SE Douglas Avenue.
More than 100 organizations marched through the streets with prepared floats, cars and performances.
According to organizers, this year’s theme was honoring multi-generation military families. Six families were selected to lead the parade as the grand marshals.
Jennifer Ellis, one of the grand marshals, said the parade represents how much Douglas County cares about their veterans.
“Douglas County really honors their veterans,” said Ellis. “It would be wonderful to see the other counties do the same to the best of their ability.”
