EUGENE, Ore. -- Goodwill is offering a $10,000 reward to find out who broke into their store on Division Avenue in Eugene Wednesday morning.
Spokesperson with Goodwill, Libby Steffen-Schafermeyer, said the suspect broke the bottom window and then made their way into the store.
The break-in happened right before 5:00 a.m. Once inside, the suspect smashed the glass of the jewelry cases taking $11,000 worth in jewelry and watches.
"The community has been very generous with their donations to us and we want to protect those goods," she said.
This is not the first time an incident like this happens, according to Steffen-Schafermeyer. In September, another break-in happened at this same location.
"Those products are sold in our stores and the money that we receive from the sale of those products fund the mission services we provide," she said.
Steffen-Schafermeyer said they are still investigating the full extent of the losses.
She said for now they are committed to find the suspect and are working very closely with Eugene Police to prevent this from happening again.
"When we have a loss prevention issue, it really takes away from the services," she said.
