EUGENE, Ore. -- Police are looking for the good samaritan who helped save a man's life on Sunday.
Officer Jannalyn Farley responded to reports of a man and woman who appeared to be overdosing on heroin at the corner of 13th and Polk.

Police said when Officer Farley arrived, it was clear both the man and woman needed CPR but there was no one there to help her.

When Officer Farley began CPR on the woman, an unidentified man came running from across the street and jumped in to help.

She said the good Samaritan helped perform CPR on the man until medical professionals arrived.

Both victims were taken to the hospital. Their condition is unknown.

Medical personnel said the good Samaritan saved the man's life but he left the scene before police could thank him.

Police are hoping the good Samaritan will come forward. They said the man was wearing a black zip-collar sweater, blue jeans, brown work boots and a dark ball cap
