GLIDE, Ore. -- An argument between two men escalated into gunfire Wednesday night, sending one man to the hospital and another to jail.
Douglas County deputies say it happened around 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of Bar L Ranch Road in Glide.
When units arrived, they found Christopher Lee Wagner, 48, bleeding from a gunshot wound to the head. They say he was alert and responsive before being taken to the hospital.
The suspect in the shooting, James Thomas Crayton, 65, tried to toss the weapon, deputies said.
He has been charged with assault, but additional charges may be filed, officials said.
