EUGENE, Ore. -- Gas prices have fallen 1.2 cents per gallon in the past week.

According to GasBuddy, prices remain in familiar territory as demand for gas decreases, but this could change in the coming months.

"Traditionally, gasoline demand weakens into the autumn, and as the coronavirus situation keeps more kids home and more parents from work, we may see a drop in gas prices as we progress through fall,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy.

Gas prices in Eugene are 3.6 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and 42.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago.
