EUGENE, Ore. – Gas prices in Eugene continue to dip in January.

According to GasBuddy's daily survey of 78 stations, prices have fallen 4.4 cents per gallon in the past week.

The average price is $2.86 per gallon as of Monday morning.

Gas prices in Eugene are 11.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago, but still 31 cents higher than the current national average of $2.55 per gallon.

GasBuddy says oil prices have been sagging, which is opening the door for a decline in U.S. gas prices.
