ALBANY, Ore. – Some students of Greater Albany Public Schools will be returning to in-person hybrid learning weeks earlier than planned.

The school board unanimously voted to approve the updated calendar Monday night.

While kindergarten through second grade will still return March 29, grades three through five will start the next day. Middle school students will be starting on April 5 and 6, nearly two weeks before planned.

Albany Options School will open on March 29, and South and West Albany high schools will open as previously planned, aligned with the start of the fourth quarter. Construction on West Albany High School will not be completed for occupancy until April 13.
