Four arrested in bait bike operation in Eugene

Four property crimes detectives conducted the operation Nov. 30 and made several arrests.

EUGENE, Ore. -- Four repeat offenders were arrested in a bait bike operation Friday evening, Eugene police said.

Four property crimes detectives conducted the operation Nov. 30 and made several arrests:

  • Travis Gene Sellers, 34, was charged with first-degree theft and four unrelated warrants.
  • Joseph Scott Buttenhoff, 38, was charged with first-degree theft.
  • Jeremy Allen Black, 27, was charged with first-degree theft.
  • Schylar Domonicq Flick, 24, was charged with first-degree theft.

To help prevent your bike from being stolen, police said to make sure to lock it properly with a quality U-lock and cable lock.

Police said it’s also important to document your serial number, take a photo and register your bike.

If your bike is stolen, it is important to report the theft, police said.
