EUGENE, Ore. -- The sentencing for a former martial arts instructor convicted of sex abuse was postponed on Friday.

The sentencing was supposed to be held at 1:30 p.m. at Lane County Circuit Court. The sentencing was postponed "because circumstances came to light after the trial," the judge said.

Gerald Strebendt was found guilty of second-degree sexual abuse following a six-day trial.
