EUGENE, Ore. – Prairie Mountain School hosted the first annual Dirty Dash fundraiser for the school’s Parent Teacher Organization on Tuesday.

Principal Jill Robinson-Wolgamott said their goal was to raise $5,000 that would end up going back to the students to help them support different technology, curriculum and art projects.

By Tuesday afternoon, they had already surpassed their fundraising goal.

"I would say the best part is to watch the kids in the mud pit,” Robinson-Wolgamott said. “I mean that is pretty exciting, but the other part that just warms my heart is, as a principal, is our entire community had come out.”

Students were able to crawl their way through a fun outdoor obstacle course that included hay bales, a tire step, slip-and-slide and a mud pit.
