SWEET HOME, Ore. -- Four people were found dead after a house fire in Sweet Home early Tuesday morning.
Sweet Home Fire District says they responded to a structure fire at 1530 Tamarack Street at 6:50 a.m. Crews found a manufactured home with fire coming from three sides of the home.
Fire crews located four deceased individuals inside the home.
The fire was reported by a passerby who tried to alert the occupants, fire officials said.
Abigail Mace, Property Manager at Tamarack Ridge Estates, said a family of four including two young children occupied the home. The husband was known to be a handyman for residents in the park.
"He did odd jobs for different people around the park... He was just very helpful to a lot of different people around the park," Mace said.
Sweet Home Fire arrived on the scene just six minutes after receiving the first 911 call. Battalion Chief Shannon Pettner said crews were able to extinguish the fire quickly. Pettner said the department cannot confirm the identities of the victims or whether they were related.
"It's just a shock and a tragedy to lose that whole family," Mace said.
An investigation is being conducted by the Sweet Home Fire District, Sweet Home Police Department, Oregon State Fire Marshal's Office and Oregon State Police.
