COTTAGE GROVE, Ore. - An unauthorized marijuana operation in Cottage Grove is under a federal investigation.

According to search warrants, investigators seized 1,200 pounds of marijuana and $26,000 from a warehouse on North Lane Street.

This is the same warehouse where federal parolee, Eric Scully, was burned in an explosion in November.

The documents show, Scully owned the building but was not licensed to grow marijuana.

One business owner said he's surprised this happened just blocks away from his establishment.

"It's a small town and it's hard to believe, and usually we hear everything that's going on in the town," said Kevin Christiansen, owner of New to You. "So it's a little bit astonishing that something that close would be going on."

KEZI 9 News reached out to the United States attorney's office who is conducting the investigation. They said they can't release any information since it's an ongoing investigation.
