Eugene woman will spend two years in prison

Jamie Christopher will also have her driver's license suspended for 10 years.

EUGENE, Ore. – Jamie Louise Christopher was sentenced Wednesday to two years and four months in prison and a 10-year driver’s license suspension.

Earlier in January the Eugene woman had pleaded guilty to criminally negligent homicide and DUII in the death of Bill Schmidt, 75. He died after being struck by Christopher’s 2006 Jeep Wrangler on the evening of Nov. 16, 2018.

The crash happened at River Road and Kourt Drive.

Christopher, 55, was also ordered to pay more than $2,000 in fines and to serve four years of probation.
