In May, police arrested Baker after they say he shot a 19-year-old woman in the chest when she got between him and another man during an altercation. The incident happened in the parking lot of the Stadium Park Apartments on Commons Drive.

The woman was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

As part of a plea agreement, one count of attempted murder in the second degree was dismissed. Baker will serve a total of three years of post-prison supervision.

Because this is a Measure 11 crime, there is no chance of early release for good behavior.
