EUGENE, Ore. -- Community members in Eugene gathered at Hop Valley Brewery to help a man who lost his small business to arson.

Elliot Morgan owned an RV that he used to operate adventure excursions for the last three years. On January 7th, a man set fire to his vehicle, destroying the RV and all of the equipment inside. Morgan said he wasn't sure if he would be able to recover.

"We came from a place of giving up," Morgan said. "All said and done we're going to see if we can start it back up as soon as possible."

Small business owner Daniel Isaacson heard about Morgan's story and donated a new RV.

"Something happened to me very similar when I was a business owner," Issacson said. "I owned a small business and my business was destroyed by a vandal. When I read Elliot's story it was a pay it forward kind of deal. I had the benefit of it happening to me and it's my job to pay it forward."

Isaacson wasn't the only one who wanted to help. Beverly Farfan donated camping gear that REI donated to her.

"I just feel good," Farfan said. "It's one of those things what you give out, you get tenfold back by giving."

Morgan said he is going to take every opportunity to give help to someone in need.

"I mean I'm going to try and pay it forward as much as possible. There's good here and not be so down on the neighborhood. It's great!"
