EUGENE, Ore. – A Eugene man has been arrested on assault and driving under the influence charges after an alleged road rage incident.

Police said it started at Beltline and Barger Drive when a driver made a lane change directly in front of Jeffrey Linscott.

At the stoplight, Linscott allegedly got out of the car and began yelling at the other driver.

Authorities said Linscott went back to his car and got a knife. They said he jabbed at the other man, who raised his hands in self-defense. The victim suffered cuts to his hand.

Police said Linscott left the scene and they later arrested him at his home.
