EUGENE, Ore. -- The Eugene Airport has added safety measures throughout the building to make sure travelers are safe during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The airport has installed plexiglass shields at ticket counters and other locations throughout the airport.
In an effort to make sure people are keeping their distance in line, the airport added social distancing decals on the floors in the terminals and jet bridges.
Finally, they have deep cleaned the entire airport all while increasing cleaning protocols.
Face coverings are optional but keep in mind it could be required at your next travel destination.
Starting May 18 anyone flying out of Portland International airport will be required to wear a face mask.
For the second month in a row, PDX officials reported seeing a large decrease in passengers.
The drop in air travel has left airports and airlines scrambling to survive.
