Eugene police recover 2 stolen vehicles

Eugene Police Street Crime Units found two stolen vehicles in the same area.

EUGENE, Ore.--Police spotted two stolen vehicles in the same area after receiving a tip about criminal activity.

Officials say the cars were found on Thursday around 11 a.m.

Police began investigating the area of Ed Cone and Owen Loop and first spotted a stolen 2020 Hyundai Tucson. They also located a 2017 Toyota Corolla that had been reported stolen from West 13th street on Feb. 6.

Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested Terrence Stevens, 24. While searching the vehicle, police say they also discovered a small amount of heroin.

Officers were able to return the Hyundai to its owner.
